 The Greenline 40 Hybrid redefines modern boating by offering twin hybrid Volvo diesel power combined with a standard 1.8 KW powerful solar array and a 40 KW lithium polymer battery bank to keep you off the grid and out on the water longer with little need to go to a marina except for occasional provisioning. The Greenline’s unique power system incorporates an integral inline electric motor/generator with twin fuel sipping 5-cylinder 220 hp Volvo diesels that cruise easily at 14 knots with a top speed of 18.5 knots. This E engine is a collaboration between Volvo and Greenline. From its inception by J&J Design, the Greenline 40 was created as a super displacement low drag hybrid hull to offer unapparelled efficiency on the water (about 2 nautical miles per gallon at 9 knots). The hull includes twin stabilizer fins that deliver roll stability, tracking ability and protect the underwater drive resulting in an extremely seaworthy hull certified to Class “B” ocean conditions.

In diesel mode, the hybrid drives generate a constant 15 kW DC and 120-volt power through the inverter so you’ll always have power to every appliance and arrive with fully charged battery banks. The powerful rooftop solar array charges daily so there’s no real need to plug in at the dock. You can cruise silently in electric Eco mode with no fumes or engine noise when cruising at slower speeds. This is useful in wake zones or when leaving and arriving in marinas or anchorages. Your friends and other boaters will appreciate this. In electric eco mode, the Greenline 40 has a range of approximately 25 miles. Eco mode also serves as a get home drive should the diesel ever have a problem.

The moment you go onboard the Greenline 40 you cannot help but be amazed by the sense of space and light. The key elements of the Greenline design are all there – the 360° panoramic view in the salon with a single level from the cockpit to the Helm Station, the aft galley that becomes a cockpit serving bar for entertaining, the electric fold-down “beach club” transom, a spacious 2 cabin layout and full-sized head with separate shower stall which all come together to create one of the most sociable and relaxing boats on the water today.

This Greenline 40 has an Oak interior and is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences you would expect like, bow and stern thrusters, reverse cycle air conditioning, forced air heat, induction cooking, a free-standing refrigerator with separate freezer and a full complement of the latest Raymarine Axiom touch screen navigation electronics.
